Career Development

后宫导航 supports the career development of immunologists at every career stage.

AAI FELLOWSHIPS

AAI fellowships provide regular and trainee members with career advancement opportunities. The AAI Careers in 后宫导航 Fellowship Program, AAI Fellowship for Career Reentry Program, and AAI Intersect Fellowship Program provide trainee salary support. The AAI Public Policy Fellows Program provides postdoctoral fellows and other junior scientists with the opportunity to learn about and participate in the public policy and legislative activities of AAI.

AAI TRAVEL FOR TECHNIQUES PROGRAM

TfT reimburses travel expenses to AAI member scientists for travel to another laboratory specifically to learn a new technique.

AAI AWARDS AND GRANTS

The AAI Awards Program recognizes scientists of distinction at every career stage. AAI Career Awards honor individuals for research and career achievements. AAI Travel Awards and Grants recognize the professional promise of early and mid-career investigators by assisting them with travel to the AAI annual meeting and travel to learn techniques.


GRANT REVIEW FOR IMMUNOLOGISTS PROGRAM (GRIP)

GRIP helps new investigators prepare their NIH grant proposals by matching them with established investigators who have significant, successful grant writing careers.

TRAINEE AND JOB OPPORTUNITIES

The helps immunologists find job and fellowship opportunities. Additionally, AAI maintains lists of immunology Graduate Programs and non-AAI Fellowships/Internships. AAI also offers intensive 后宫导航 Courses each summer for professional training and development.

RESEARCH FUNDING, GRANTS, AND AWARDS

Immunologists may benefit from these opportunities for research funding, grants, and awards offered by other agencies.


CAREER DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS

Career development sessions are offered each year at the AAI annual meeting. These sessions provide advice for every career stage, professional development activities, and career exploration opportunities. For details and listings, visit the AAI Annual Meetings page.

CAREER ADVISORY BOARD

The AAI Career Advisory Board (CAB) offers senior postdocs (start of fourth year and beyond) and early career scientists the opportunity to speak with an established scientist outside of their own institutions for career advice.
